Review: Proteus

This game is technically interesting, and worth an hour of your time, but little more. In Proteus you find yourself on an island and are never given any objective, though at various points you discover “events” which are obviously your progression to the next section of the game. The game is very relaxing, and the art is peculiar but also pleasing. Its a work of art, but, unless you can play an almost aimless game and enjoy exploring, you probably won’t understand this games appeal. If its cheap, or if your a fan of “art as a game”, this is a great experience, if only to broader your horizons and if you happen to enjoy it, you’ll find a great escape when you need to relax and forget about life for awhile.

Review: 6.5/10 (There’s not much content, but its a beautiful experience)
